On July 23, we featured Amanda Clark, a mental health advocate and UMGC alumna who overcame abuse and teen motherhood to build a successful career in security at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. Passionate about mental health, she inspires others through her journey of resilience, education, and the power of self-growth.

Andre Taylor

On August 6, we featured Andre Taylor, an Army veteran, and brand-new homeowner. A first-generation college graduate, Andre earned two bachelor’s degrees and a certificate from UMGC and is considering earning his master’s. He received a scholarship for Veterans in STEM after his G.I. Bill benefits were exhausted. Today, Andre Taylor is a network engineer with Booz Allen Hamilton.
