Several programs at University of Maryland Global Campus feature accelerated pathways between undergraduate and graduate programs that allow you to apply bachelor's degree credits toward master's degree or graduate certificate requirements, saving you time and money.ÌýÌýIf you complete an eligible undergraduate degree as outlined below, you may be able to reduce your total coursework for related graduate programs.
Unless otherwise noted:
- Eligible credits for most pathways must have been completed no earlier than two years before the beginning of your graduate studies.
- To be eligible for the pathways listed below, you must complete the bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Specific requirements are listed under individual pathways. Graduate admission requirementsÌýand time limits for degree completion apply to all students taking advantage of an accelerated pathway. The time limit for program completion becomes applicable when you begin study for your graduate program.
Accelerated Pathways Between Bachelor's Degrees & Graduate Programs
Accounting
If you completed a bachelor's degree in accountingÌýat UMGC, a pathway between UMGC undergraduate and graduate programs in accounting allows you to reduce your total coursework for a related graduate program by up to 9 credits.
You may be able to earn credit toward one of the following programs:
- Master of Business Administration (91ÖÆÆ¬³§)
- MS in Accounting & Financial Management
- MS in CyberAccounting
- MS in Management: Accounting
- Graduate Certificate in Accounting
- Graduate Certificate in Accounting Information Security

The substitutions listed above are the only ones possible. Note that a minimum grade of B must be earned in each undergraduate course for the credits to be accepted at the graduate level.

If you completed a bachelor's degree in artificial intelligenceÌýat UMGC, a pathway between UMGC undergraduate and graduate programs allows you to reduce your total coursework for a related graduate program by up toÌý6 credits.

Criminal Justice
If you completed a bachelor's degree in criminal justice at UMGC (either general or law enforcement track), an accelerated pathway between UMGC undergraduate and graduate programs allows you to reduce your total coursework for the concentration in criminal justice management within the Master of Science in management by up to 6 credits.Ìý
