As a Prince George’s 3D Scholar, John Otike started taking college-level classes as a high school freshman. Then once at UMGC, he took as many as seven university courses each term to complete his bachelor’s degree in one year.
There was a time when Meyers had limited education and uncertain prospects. Today, she is the president and CEO of JLAN Solutions, a multimillion-dollar consulting firm, and about to receive her bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Wray-Brewer will mark Mother’s Day with her daughters before flying to Florida to watch a cousin, whom she encouraged to go to college, graduate. The cousin is then boarding a plane to come back to Maryland to see Wray-Brewer graduate.
