UMGC Global Media Center Peter Smith, UMUC's Orkand Chair, is Rethinking Higher Education

A funny thing happened on the way to Peter Smith’s transition to full retirement. Since this spring, when University of Maryland University College (UMUC) named him Orkand Chair, as well as Professor of Innovative Practices in Higher Education, Smith has, in his words, re-calibrated.
